This program was created to support a more holistic, integrated approach within primary care — focusing on prevention, balance, and long-term wellness so our patients can feel their best at every stage of life.

✨ Meet the Team: Paige Guess

At Chambers Health, great care doesn’t just happen in the exam room. It happens in every step of the patient journey — including the lab.

Meet Paige Guess, one of the friendly lab technicians who helps keep care moving behind the scenes at Bayside Community Hospital and the West Chambers Clinic.

From routine blood work to important diagnostic testing, Paige plays a key role in helping providers get the answers they need to care for our community. But for Paige, the job is about more than lab samples — it’s about people.

Her goal is simple: help every patient feel comfortable the moment they walk through the door.

“The best part of my job is helping patients feel relaxed and at ease during their visit.”

Paige enjoys working at Chambers Health because of the supportive team and the opportunity to meet people from all across the Chambers and Liberty County area. Every day brings new stories and new connections.

Outside of work, Paige enjoys hunting, photography, and spending time outdoors, along with time at home with her pets — Luke and Bandit, her two labs, and her cats Snow and Mischief.

At Chambers Health, it takes a dedicated team working together to care for our community, and we’re proud to have Paige as part of that team.

Many Texans don’t realize this, but children and pregnant women can apply for Medicaid or CHIP year-round.

These programs can help cover doctor visits, prescriptions, prenatal care, and more. Medicaid also provides up to 12 months of postpartum coverage after birth, helping new moms continue receiving the care they need.

At Chambers Health, our team can help guide you through the application process. As a Level 3 Community Partner with Texas Health & Human Services, our eligibility clerks can assist with applying, uploading documents, renewing benefits, and answering questions along the way.

🌟 Meet the Team: Marlene Flores, MSN, PNP-C

Every child deserves a healthcare provider who sees them not just as a patient, but as the unique, growing person they are.

That’s exactly the kind of care Marlene Flores, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, brings to families at West Chambers Medical Center.

As a mom herself, Marlene understands that pediatric visits are about more than checkups. They’re about reassurance, guidance, and building trust with families who want the very best for their children. Her approach centers on preventative care, healthy habits, and helping parents feel confident in the decisions they make for their child’s health.

Marlene began her healthcare journey as an EMT before earning her nursing degree and later completing her Master of Science in Nursing to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Today, she is dedicated to creating pediatric-centered care close to home, where families can build lasting relationships with their provider.

One of her favorite parts of the job?

Watching her patients grow.

From newborn visits to first-day-of-school physicals and every milestone in between, Marlene loves being part of each child’s story.

“The best part of my job is getting to see and care for all of my sweet, little patients.”

Outside the clinic, Marlene enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, staying active, and cheering on Houston sports teams.

This month, we’re proud to recognize Malinda, our Director of Social Services & Swing Bed Program, who has been a dedicated member of the Chambers Health family for 20 years.

Malinda plays an essential role in helping patients and their families navigate some of the most challenging moments in healthcare. Through compassion, guidance, and unwavering support, she helps ensure our patients receive the care, resources, and dignity they deserve.

Meet Ginger Brown, Registrar at Bayside Community Hospital.
