The Psychological Services Center (PSC) at UAA is a graduate training clinic for psychology students. We provide low-cost services to the Anchorage area.

It's been our privilege to serve the UAA and greater Alaskan community this semester. We're now closed until January 12th for the UAA Winter Break.

When we re-open, we'll be accepting phone screenings for individual, couples, and group therapy, as well as phone screenings for psychological assessment for ages 16+. Please note that our assessment services fill up quickly, and we may not be able to serve all who express interest this semester.

The PSC will be closed Nov 26-28 for UAA holiday break, and reopen at 9am on Monday, December 1st. We currently have limited availability for individual couples therapy intakes in advance of our Dec 13-Jan 16 winter break closure.

We are currently taking calls for individuals ages 16+ interested in psychological assessment during the Spring 2026 semester (ADHD, autism, cognitive/memory concerns, personality, diagnostic clarification). We now have both of our free therapy groups--DBT Skills and Attention/ADHD Skills--up and running for the semester! Our DBT group is offered in-person on Mondays from 4-5, and our Attention/ADHD Skills group is in-person Thursdays from 4-5.

We remain available for new individual and couples therapy clients, though space is becoming more limited. Our assessment services will resume January 2026 when the Spring term begins.

The PSC is open for the Fall 2025 semester (M-F 9am-5pm) and is accepting new clients for individual, couples, and group therapy! We're excited to welcome a new cohort of doctoral and master's students as they train to become Alaska's future mental health professionals. Our services are available by appointment only, so whether you're looking to schedule a phone screening or wanting to learn more about our clinic, call our main line at 907-786-1795.

The PSC is closed for the summer semester and will reopen August 25th for the Fall 2025 term. We will be offering individual, couples, and group therapy to community members across Alaska as well as UAA students, staff, and faculty. Individual therapy is available for ages 13+, and we will be continuing our DBT Skills and Attention Skills/ADHD groups. Assessment services will resume January 2026. We're excited to announce that our FREE DBT and Attention Skills therapy groups will be continuing for the summer 2025 term! We also remain open for individual therapy for ages 13+ and couples therapy--in-person and via telehealth anywhere in Alaska. Anyone interested in the PSC's services can call 907-786-1795 for a free phone screening. Our hours this summer are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-5pm. ☀️

The UAA PSC is now closed for the Spring 2025 semester, and we'll reopen May 20th for the summer term. Out summer hours will be Tu-Wed-Thurs 9am-5pm. We will have availability for individual therapy for adolescents and adults, couples and group therapy for adults.

TIME SENSITIVE: we will also be offering a *limited* number of assessments for adult ADHD and adult autism this summer. These services fill up very quickly, so please call us for more information! Since our clinic will be closed for the next two weeks, make sure to leave a message with your name and a callback number. 907-786-1795.

We're excited to announce a new FREE therapy group for ADHD, offered in-person on Mondays from 3:30-4:45pm through the end of April. Our DBT skills group is also open for new participants, although space is now limited. All of our group services are open to UAA and non-UAA affiliated community members ages 18+. Call our clinic at 907-786-1795 for an initial phone screening.

We are nearing capacity for individual and couples therapy services. Please call us to inquire about availability! We are at capacity for psychological assessments for this semester.

The PSC will be closed for the UAA holiday break through January 12th.

For Spring 2025, we will be offering the following services:
individual therapy for ages 13+, two therapy groups for adults (DBT Skills and a Grief group), couples therapy for adults (limited capacity), and psychological assessment (limited capacity, ages 18+, and adolescents on case-by-case basis). We're excited to announce dates/times for our three FREE therapy groups this semester! The DBT Skills group will be in-person Mondays 3:30-5pm (led by Camille and Peter); the Eating Disorder Support Group will be in-person Tuesdays 3:30-5pm (led by Anna); and the Trauma Support Group will be in-person Fridays 2:30-5:30pm (led by Chloe and Ed). These groups are all on rolling entry, and we ask that anyone who is interest to call the PSC in advance for a free, confidential phone screening. The PSC is open for the Fall 2024 semester with a fabulous new cohort of graduate student-clinicians from our master's and doctoral programs.

We're currently available for individual therapy for adults and youth ages 13+, group therapy (DBT skills group, a Seeking Safety trauma support group, and an eating disorder support group), as well as couples therapy at a limited capacity. If you or anyone you know may be interested in services with us, all you need to is call 907-786-1795 and ask for a free, confidential phone screening.

We are not offering any psychological assessments this semester. This service will resume during the Spring semester when our PhD students begin their assessment practicum. We don't keep a waitlist and this service is offered at a limited capacity. Calls are welcome any time, but we will have a clearer sense of our capacity beginning mid-January.

The PSC will be on break from Aug. 3rd to Aug. 25th between the summer and fall semesters. If you have any questions or need more information about our services, feel free to give us a call any time (907-786-1795). We’re happy to provide information while we're on break.

This fall, we'll be available for individual therapy (ages 13+) as well as group and couples therapy (ages 18+). We're also excited to announce two new therapy groups starting this fall that will continue throughout the year: A DBT Skills Group and a Trauma Support Group--both of which will be offered free of charge to UAA and non-UAA community members! We will announce group times and locations (most likely over Zoom) once we establish our student-clinicians' schedules for the next term.
