Last week in Juneau, our leadership team had the opportunity to meet with Alaska State Representative Jamie Allard (third from the left) to discuss important topics surrounding veterans’ access to mental health and substance use care. Collaborative efforts across organizations are essential to ensure comprehensive support for those who have served.

We appreciate Representative Allard’s commitment to Alaska’s veterans and her dedication to improving their well-being.

It was an honor to sponsor and attend the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce Coast Guard Appreciation Dinner last Friday. Kodiak is officially recognized as a United States Coast Guard City, reflecting its longstanding and deeply rooted relationship with the Coast Guard. Coast Guard Base Kodiak is the largest Coast Guard base in the United States and plays a central role in that community.

Thousands of Coast Guardsmen, civilian employees and family members are stationed there. There are multiple operational units, including air stations, cutters and support facilities. An estimated nearly one-third of Kodiak’s population is directly connected to the Coast Guard.
