DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU USE THESE KEY MUSCLE GROUPS!!!
🦵 and Glutes 🍑: These are the primary muscles for LIFTING/PUSHING snow. Proper form requires bending your knees and using your glutes and hamstrings to lift the weight, not your back.
🤠💯Core: This includes your abdominal muscles, obliques, and lower back. A strong core provides stability, balance, and protects your spine from strain during the repetitive bending and lifting motions.
🫶Tip- Ask Your Therapist For Abdominal Massage
💪🏻🫱🏽🫲🏿Arms and Shoulders: Muscles like the deltoids (shoulder) and the biceps and triceps are used to hold and move the shovel. Forearm muscles are also used for wrist extension.
☠️👻Back: The erector muscles of the back are engaged, particularly the lower back for stability. HOWEVER, THEY SHOULD NOT BE THE PRIMARY MUSCLES FOR LIFTING.
