I'm not going to claim that I've ever been great at posting to social media regularly but I've been especially bad lately. Doing my best to show up for my work families, my family family, and also trying to fully acknowledge and make space for my own personal grief has been a lot.

"Tragedy" doesn't come close to describing the devastation. But today my heart feels a little happiness knowing that the blankets donated by my Flameless families might bring some comfort to someone else.

I wanted more time with my dog after he was euthanized. I can't fully explain why. Rushed by the thought that "this is probably weird", I left before I was ready.

What I know now that I wish I knew then: it's totally okay to stay as long as you'd like, to take your deceased pet home with you, to go with what feels right in the moment.
