We inspire Alaskans to pursue and thrive in healthcare careers, building healthier communities. AHEC's interdisciplinary, community-based training programs engage academic and com

munity leaders to improve the distribution, diversity, supply, and quality of Alaska's healthcare workforce — from initial exploration to long-term retention. Core Activities:
Clinical Rotations: Providing health profession students with immersive clinical experiences in rural and underserved Alaska communities. Health Career Exploration: Engaging K-12 students through hands-on activities, camps, and events that spark interest in healthcare careers. Continuing Education: Offering accessible professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and retention of Alaska's health workforce. By fostering engagement, training, and retention, Alaska AHEC ensures a sustainable and thriving healthcare workforce for Alaska’s diverse communities.

The first session of the new webinar series will establish a shared understanding of disability, ableism and Disability Justice as critical public health frameworks. CE Needs Assessment — Your Input Needed!

The Alaska Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce requests your support to guide future planning as we shift our Continuing Education (CE) and CACHE to a fee-for-services model. The goal of this survey is to gather information about your future CE needs.

Completing the survey does not commit your program to any services. Instead, it serves as a planning tool to help us understand potential CE needs and ensure the most efficient and user-friendly experience possible for your organization.

Although Letters of Intent are still under review and RHTP funding decisions remain unknown, we encourage you to complete the survey even if your organization is waiting to learn whether funding will be awarded before deciding whether to pursue CE courses.

The survey will take approximately 5-7 mins to complete. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to uaa_cache@alaska.edu.
