🌊 We’re less than a month away!

Sunrise Community Living is getting ready to take the plunge on December 13th in support of Special Olympics Alaska. This fundraiser helps provide year-round training, health programs, and life-changing opportunities for athletes across our state, and we’re proud to be part of it again this year.

We currently have an opening in our Morgan Loop House in South Anchorage, an all-male home that offers a comfortable, family-style setting with plenty of space to relax, connect, and feel at home.

Nelson’s birthday was this past weekend and we want to take a moment to give him a big Sunrise shoutout. He keeps our homes running smoothly, jumps in wherever he’s needed, and brings a steady, positive presence to our team and our Risers.

Sunrise Community Living is diving in for our third year of the Special Olympics Alaska Polar Plunge! On Saturday, December 13th, our team will be braving the icy waters of Goose Lake in support of athletes with intellectual disabilities across Alaska.

This incredible event helps fund year-round training, competitions, and health programs that empower athletes to grow, compete, and belong. Every dollar raised goes directly toward making those opportunities possible, and we’re proud to take the plunge to show our support! 🙌🏼

🇺🇸 Today, we honor the brave men and women who have served our country with courage, dedication, and sacrifice.

We’re especially proud to recognize members of our own Sunrise family, Roland, one of our dedicated Direct Support Professionals, along with our owners Jamie and Brandon, for their service and commitment to our nation. Your leadership and values shine through in the work you do every day, and we’re so grateful to have you on our team.

To all veterans, thank you for your service and for protecting the freedoms we cherish. We are deeply grateful for you today and every day. ❤️

✨ We had such a great time at the Best of Alaska Showcase this weekend!

This was a new style of event for us, and we enjoyed every minute of it! We met lots of other business owners, celebrated being voted Best in Alaska, sampled delicious drinks and bites from local food vendors, enjoyed live music, watched the kids get their faces painted, visited the petting zoo, and even rode Hank the Moose! 🫎

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hi, including some of our team members, to Anchorage Daily News and Peak 2 Peak Events Alaska for hosting such a great community event, and to all of you who voted us Best Assisted Living in Alaska. 🏆

We couldn’t do what we do without your support. 🫶

🌟 Alysha joined the Sunrise team in September as an out-of-home DSP and has been doing an incredible job ever since. She’s kind, engaging, and truly person centered. Our Risers and their guardians often request her for shifts after experiencing her compassion and care.
