Chugachmiut offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, in observance of New Year’s Day. Regular business hours will resume on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.

Jan Vanderpool, Executive Director, has approved the early closure of all Chugachmiut offices and clinics on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 3:30 p.m.

For clinical staff and Village Public Safety Officers (VPSOs): Please follow the on-call emergency procedures during early closures and holidays.

The Alaska Native Vietnam-era Veterans Land Allotment Program is still open and accepting applications from eligible veterans. The current deadline for Alaska Native Vietnam-era veterans (or their eligible heirs) to have applications postmarked is December 29, 2025. Eligible applicants may apply for up to 160 acres of land in Alaska. Cama’i! We are thrilled to announce the winners of this year’s 2025 Christmas Card Design Contest.

🎉 Grand Prize Winner: Katelyn Sawyer-Lemme from Seward! Katelyn will receive a $200 cash prize, and her beautiful design will be featured on our official 2025 Christmas card.

🎉 Runner-up: Savior Hernandez from Nanwalek! In recognition, Savior will receive a $50 prize.

Quyanaa and AwA’ahdah to the talented artists who dedicated their time and creativity this year. We also want to acknowledge a late submission from Aurelia Hetrick from Port Graham. Although her entry arrived after the deadline and wasn’t eligible for the contest, we’re very grateful she shared her beautiful artwork with us.
