The term “Bodywork” often denotes a process in which you are more deeply aware and engaged with your session than a traditional massage. You are a dynamic person, so why shouldn’t you have a session that reflects your individual goals and needs? No shade to massage ☂ It’s amazing and I use it. It’s a beautiful and powerful approach to reducing pain and stress. For a bit. But, what about often complex patterns of holding (I.e. trauma, posture, injury, etc) that keep the pain coming back? This is where Bodywork shines. Myofascial, Craniosacral, and Orthopedic techniques are some of the tools I use to get deeper. Deep tissue isn’t just smooshing the spot where it hurts. Troubleshooting and working dynamically around WHY it may be hurting is what keeps me stoked when I work with people. We address the body as a sum of the parts and not just the pieces. ✨enjoy yourself✨
