Covington County Drug Court The 22nd Judicial Circuit Drug Court is a judicially supervised, problem-solving court that handles the cases of non-violent substance abusing offenders.

The 22nd Judicial Circuit Drug Court was established to reduce drug related criminal offenses, recidivism rates, and crime as a whole in Covington County, to enhance public safety, and to increase restitution recovery by providing alternative judicial measures for a defined group of non-violent drug offenders. The Alabama Home Builders Foundation and LBW Community College is sponsoring an eight-week course offered to adult learners needing basic knowledge and skills for construction work. The class will held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., March 15 through May 12, at the Covington Center Arena in Andalusia. This is a FREE course. Employers will be present at the end of the course to interview successful participants. Students will earn valuable NCCER instruction and a certificate of completion for the Home Builders Association of Alabama. Enrollment is limited. The But God Recovery meetings at New Chapel Baptist in Kinston have been temporarily closed due to COVID. They state that as long as everyone stays healthy, the meeting should resume back to normal on February 11th at 6:30 p.m.

All AA & NA meetings in Andalusia (at the Christian Service Center) have resumed however, at this time they are not signing sheets on any day except Saturday (at the 6 p.m. meeting). They are limited on how many people can sit in the room due to regulations, so get there early to make a meeting!

Celebrate Recovery (Westview Baptist Church Opp) has resumed meetings on Friday evenings.

God's Grace & Recovery (First Baptist Church Gantt) will resume meeting May 30th. Please follow social distance guidelines.

The 22nd Judicial Circuit Drug Court Program is seeking to contract with an agency or individual to provide FAMILY COUNSELING services for program participants and their families. The purpose of this request is for the program to receive current rates and information on agencies or individuals that provide these services.

Proposals are due by Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
The 22nd Judicial Circuit Drug Court Program is not responsible for late proposals. Any proposals delivered after this date and time will be returned unopened and will not be reviewed.

This contract is dependent upon continued grant funding through the Bureau of Justice Administration.
