Big win at Prevail Prosthetics and Orthot🦾ics today! 🦾
We are so proud of our patient who was just fitted with his brand new bilateral Icarus KAFOs! After years of navigating life in bilateral locked knee KAFOs, he is now walking with dynamic, unlocked knees — a game changer for his mobility, comfort, and confidence.
The Icarus KAFO system allows for a more natural gait pattern, giving our patient the freedom of movement that locked knees simply can't provide. Watching him take those first steps was an incredible reminder of why we do what we do every single day. 💪
This is what prosthetics and orthotics is all about — meeting our patients where they are and helping them reach the next level. We couldn't be more excited for what lies ahead for this gentleman!

“I finished my 16th year of doing the walk a mile for the Muncie Mission 10 of those with my prosthetic legs. God provided $193,000 to support the Muncie Mission ministries and my team Mary Mary marchers raised $30,000. By God‘s grace.
I want to tell you that I did the 2 mile walk 1 mile there and 1 mile back to the car without any difficulty and no added other than the usual phantom pain for the rest of the day.

Thanks again for the good job. You have done in providing me with these prosthetic legs Mary”

The Fort Wayne staff got together last night with spouses/friends for a Euchre “tournament”. It came down to the final four. The Alvarado’s against The Smishers (merged Marissa’s and Joni’s last names together.) The Smisher’s thought they had the win in the bag. They were in the barn to win all the marbles.
But in the end, team Alvarado clinched the title!
What did they win, you ask? Bragging rights for the next year!
Yep, we play for high stakes, folks!

If you’ve ever received a metal brace from us, any shoe work, a KAFO or a double upright AFO. Or a CROW boot in Fort Wayne, this is the guy who made it.
After nearly three decades of precision metal work, problem-solving, and craftsmanship, Dan-the-Man has decided to put down his bending bars and retire!
We are incredibly grateful for his incredible knowledge, his skills, his dedication and his consistency that he has brought to Prevail for the last 29 years. 
To say that we’ve been lucky to have him is an understatement. He’s a Prevail staple!
Here’s to a well earned retirement! May it be full of relaxation, family time, vacations, target shooting, and doing whatever else he wants. 
But don’t get too sad yet, he has decided to stay on with us part time and will be working two days a week out of our West Jefferson office in Fort Wayne!!!

Due to the weather, our Indianapolis office will be closed today and our Muncie and Fort Wayne offices will be open at 10 AM. If you are scheduled to see us today and are unable to come in, please call us and we’ll be happy to reschedule you.
