Today we proudly celebrate National Funeral Director & Mortician Recognition Day by honoring the remarkable leadership and dedication of our owner and manager, Gloria Walker Cox.

Ms. Cox has devoted the last 35 years to serving families with compassion, professionalism, and excellence in the funeral service profession. Her many accomplishments reflect both her commitment to the community and her passion for advancing the field.

Some of her notable achievements include:

• President of the South Carolina Morticians Association from 2019-2023
• Served on the South Carolina State Board of Funeral Services (2007–2009) and held the position of President from August 2008–2009
• Coordinator and pacesetter of the Funeral Services Education Program at Piedmont Technical College (1997–2004)
• Voted South Carolina Morticians Association Professional of the Year – May 17, 2000
• Recipient of the President’s Medallion from Piedmont Technical College – December 2001
• Manager of D.B. Walker Funeral Service (2004–Present) and Office Manager at Robinson-Walker Funeral Services
• Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development – Webster University
• Past National Treasurer, Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity

Her leadership, integrity, and dedication to caring for families during life’s most difficult moments continue to inspire us every day.
