Saturday I'll be set up at Anderson Farmer's Market with herbal tinctures!! 🌿 ♥

Herbal tinctures are amazing! My current tinctures are an alchol extraction...the plant sits in alcohol for 4-6weeks pulling all the health benefits from the plant, then is strained pressed and bottled up for use.
Different plants provide different health benefits! Seriously plants are so cool!! 🌿

Current tinctures available:
MOTHERWORT heart health, anxiety soother, calming.
WILD LETTUCE pain relief, calming.
MULLEIN respiratory support, cough suppressant, breaks up mucus.
OATSTRAW nervous system support, calming.

I have a ton of ideas for the Herbalstead!! SLOWLY I'll be adding more tinctures, tea blends, herb starts, flowers 💐 and more!!

I'm excited for the possibilities of and being able to help you all learn about plants and homesteading really is my main focus.

I won't be at the Farmer's Market this Saturday since I work that morning.

Some of you have been asking about products/website. I just haven't had the time to get the website up and going like I would like.

So I'm posting the current products I offer. I am doing meet ups for delivery as I am not shipping these yet but in time and when out of state people are ready😜

Just delivered to my first repeat customer! 🌿

A lady bought the Motherwort+Wild Lettuce tea for sleep and anxiety at the Farmer's Market on Saturday and she messaged me last night raving about it ♥ it has helped her fall asleep and stay asleep through the night 👐

I got goosebumps when she called and told me more about her story. This is why I wanted to share these plants with you all, to help you. Sharing how to use plants for their intended purpose. I want to get in a better routine to share more about the plants very soon!

God put these beautiful plants here all for different reasons, to help heal the many aliments we face.♥

Today I delivered to her more M+WL tea and Motherwort Tincture 🌿

You know what would have been fun and smart...getting pictures of me and my sis and bro and the kids that came by to hang out with me today! ♥
Or even of one of me and my husband who came all the way to seneca to bring me a sandwich to make sure I eat. ♥
I'm so thankful for the opportunity to open shop at the Spring Extravaganza and even more thankful for all the support I received today! 🌿
It was a chilly windy and beautiful day. And a great way to connect with so many beautiful people!
Tomorrow will definitely be more of a rest day! I'm pooped! 😜
More to come on the Herbalstead shop because I definitely want to do more events this year and also open sales to you all.

Happy weekend everyone!! 🌿

Big things happening...mostly in my head right now🤣 but seriously it feels like I'm on an edge where if I don't just jump into this it may easily fade away and be just a dream.

I don't want it to fade!!

I want to stay the course and go all in because I finally found my passion of herbalism.

I'll be at the Anderson Farmer's Market this year with my herbs, tinctures, and garden produce as long as we have a great yield. I'm very excited about this! The season is May-Sept and would love to see you there!

After I got that set up, I still felt like something was missing...

Last weekend I had a light bulb moment for my herbalism biz stuff when listening to a webinar. It was to start a BLOG!! 🌿

So I did! I got a new website and I've been working on the site and started writing the first blog of this website. I'm really excited to start documenting our Homesteading and Herbalism journey.

Before this I was struggling with name and trying to figure out too many things before even starting, that analysis paralysis is real! Lol

Then it all kinda clicked.

When I started the blog setup I had to pick a name and had so many to choose from, narrowed it down quickly when several were already taken. Still like 5 names to choose between but was drawn to Ashley's Herbalstead so went with that and now I love it!

Ohhh also if you have read this far...I'm gonna set up a farmstand here at the homestead 🤭 this just clicked for me today so I'm giddy about it and how everything is coming together!

This beautiful plant is one of my favorites to forage!

Mullein is amazing. It's first year it is a rosette of fuzzy leaves and grows in circumference, the second year it shoots up a stalk and produces yellow flowers.

The leaves and flowers both have amazing health benefits!

My favorite way to use it is in a tea, especially when I'm under the weather. It is a respiratory aid helping with coughs and mucous.

I collected a basket full(and still left plenty to keep growing) the other day. I dried and will be making teas and tinctures! 🌿

Have you ever seen this plant before? Did you know it's benefits? Take a look in ditches and well drained soil areas. Avoid picking ones that are close to the roads or where you know they have been sprayed chemicals that stuff is so bad! Check your backyard, you may already have some growing.

Note...I am not a doctor I do research and encourage you to research more before consuming plants of any kind. I will share what I find but stay safe and cautious of what you try out there ♥
