❓❓What is Extraordinary Care?❓❓

Indiana FSSA now offers an Extraordinary Care Allowance for families providing intensive care through Attendant Care or PAC services.

This applies when a parent or spouse provides care that goes far beyond typical daily support — like trach care, ventilator support, TPN, severe seizure monitoring, IV meds, or complex wound care.

To qualify, needs must be in the Person‑Centered Plan and approved by FSSA. Medicaid case managers or coordinator submit requests with physician documentation.

💥*Indiana Home Health Advocacy Needed*💥

THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!! We need your voice now!

SB 275, which will be heard next Wednesday in the House Ways and Means Committee, contains language that would remove protections against rate cuts to home health agencies. This clearly indicates that FSSA intends to reduce Home Health rates very soon after the passage of the bill. FSSA has already expressed frustration with the overhead component of the Home Health fee schedule - that will likely be the first target.

For those that are able, we encourage you to attend the Committee meeting and testify about the impact this would have on your agency.

With the continued Pathways issues and challenges with MCEs, we are asking you to reach out to your elected officials to oppose this language. You can participate with just a few clicks.

Our goal for this campaign is 10,000 points of contact. That will show clearly to the General Assembly how important this is.
