It is not unusual to experience changes in your mood and behavior during seasonal changes. Our body’s begin to transition into a state of hibernation reserving and restoring itself from previous months. You may event experience an increase in natural Melatonin in the body due to less sunlight causing you to feel emotionally, mentally, and physically drained. Here are some self care tips to help navigate through seasonal changes.

1. Seek sunlight 🌞
2. Get proper rest😴
3. Create a daily routine and stick to it
4. Unplug from phones and social media daily
5. Stay connected to yourself
6. Do things that make you happy 😃
7. Talk and spend time with love ones
8. Listen to high vibrational music 🎶
9. Exercise( walks, yoga, cardio) 🧘🏽‍♀️ 🏋️‍♀️
10. Laugh a lot ( Free medicine)
11. Meditate ✨✨

I share this because we all have a story!!

I share because we’ve all experience trauma, hurt, pain, disappointment, loss, anger, addiction, shame, abandonment, etc.

I share because our healing matters to our ancestors, our children and the coming generations.

I share because this is real life and I share your pain and tears on the journey.

I share because healing can be ugly but also beautiful at the same time.

I share in hopes that my story will give someone the courage to see themselves, to love themselves a little more, and release all that no longer serves their highest purpose in this realm.

I share with love for love is universal law. The highest expression of God 🫶

The world can be so fast pace that we often time forget the importance of living in the moment. Here are some mindful tips to help you stay grounded and balanced throughout the day.

Pay attention. It's hard to slow down and notice things in a busy world. Try to take the time to experience your environment with all of your senses touch, sound, sight, smell and taste. For example, when you eat a favorite food, take the time to smell, taste and truly enjoy it.

Live in the moment. Try to intentionally bring an open, accepting and discerning attention to everything you do. Find joy in simple pleasures.

Accept yourself. Treat yourself the way you would treat a good friend.

Focus on your breathing. When you have negative thoughts, try to sit down, take a deep breath and close your eyes. Focus on your breath as it moves in and out of your body. Sitting and breathing for even just a minute can help.

Body scan meditation. Lie on your back with your legs extended and arms at your sides, palms facing up. Focus your attention slowly and deliberately on each part of your body, in order, from toe to head or head to toe. Be aware of any sensations, emotions or thoughts associated with each part of your body.

Sitting meditation. Sit comfortably with your back straight, feet flat on the floor and hands in your lap. Breathing through your nose, focus on your breath moving in and out of your body. If physical sensations or thoughts interrupt your meditation, note the experience and then return your focus to your breath.

Walking meditation. Find a quiet place 10 to 20 feet in length, and begin to walk slowly. Focus on the experience of walking, being aware of the sensations of standing and the subtle movements that keep your balance. When you reach the end of your path, turn and continue walking, maintaining awareness of your sensations.
