First and foremost thank you all for giving so generously. We could not do what we feel God has called us to do without your help during this time of need. I would like to update you all on Jennifers condition. Her surgery was Aug 20th and it went very well. The doctors were able to remove the cancer in her ovaries, uterus and colon. There was also cancer in multiple lymph nodes and a small place on her stomach lining. For this reason the cancer is staged at a 4B. She has had her follow up with her surgeon and he was very pleased with her progress. She even has been seeing a few clients this past week. God has certainly blessed her in this stage of her healing.
Now comes the hard part chemotherapy.
Today Jennifer has been scheduled to have a port catheter placed in her chest tomorrow morning. This will be where they will give her any fluids she may need as well as the chemo treatment she will have over the next 5 months. She will be on a 21 day cycle of 7-8 hour chemo treatments totaling six in all. Her battle is just beginning. I mean to say our battle is just beginning. 46:10 ministries is a family. God is the head of our family and everyone who walks through the door of this ministry is part of our family. I believe God uses all of us. Jennifer is a great teacher, counselor and friend. As a family we need to support each other as well as Jennifer during this time.
There is no sugar coating chemo. She will be sick. She will be exhausted. She will be weak. These will be temporary symptoms but they will be life changing for her and they will be for us who love her.
The next 6 months my prayer is she will be able to focus on her recovery and not have to be concerned about the ministry and the people who care and have been cared for by the ministry. I also know she will work as much as her body will allow. She often says I don't have to I get to. I believe she receives healing when she gets to meet with those who come through the doors looking for unconditional love and a different way to see. As our friend Bob Hamp would say I different way to think by thinking differently! She is not cancer it is something she has but it doesn't define her. It will never stop her from doing what she believes God tells her to do.
It is time for us to come together and support 46:10 ministry both through prayer and by financially giving. I know our goal is big. I also believe it is possible. I have witnessed lives being changed by a loving God who uses people to help us feel and know His truth.
We ask you to Be still, pray for us, listen for the voice of God and let God be God.
Thanks
Shirah
