🌱 Wellness Wednesday: Grow Your Health This Spring! 🌞
As the weather warms and gardens come to life, it’s the perfect time to dig into the many benefits of gardening for both your body and your mind. Whether you’re planting herbs on a windowsill or starting a backyard vegetable patch, gardening is a simple way to support your overall wellness this season.
🌿 Why gardening is good for you:
• Boosts physical activity through digging, planting, and watering
• Reduces stress and improves mood with time spent outdoors
• Encourages healthier eating by growing fresh fruits and vegetables
• Supports mindfulness and a sense of accomplishment
🥕 What to plant now:
Cool-season crops like lettuce, spinach, carrots, and herbs such as cilantro and parsley thrive in the Southeast this time of year. Starting small is perfectly okay; even a few pots can make a big impact!
🌼 Wellness tip:
Spend just 15–30 minutes a day outside tending to your plants. That time in the sunshine can help raise vitamin D levels and boost your mental health.
Let this season be your reminder that growth takes time: whether it’s in the garden or in your wellness journey 🌷
