If you will be burning, do so with caution.
Notify Henry County on their mon-emergency phone number
309-937-3911 for controlled burns
Dont burn on windy days and don’t leave any fires unattended.
Extinguish fires completele when done

The Osco Andover Community Fire District has implemented a fire ban beginning today and will be in effect until further notice
This ban has been implemented due to an elevated fire danger condition as a result of warm temperatures, 20-30 mph winds, low humidity and dry vegetation and croplands. No outdoor, open burning is allowed.

Yesterday evening during our monthly department meeting, Osco/Andover members Dave Wallace and Lily Laws were promoted off rookie status to full membership. In their first 14 months, both Dave and Lily not only completed department rookie training requirements but also finished three month Emergency Medical Responder programs. Thank you Dave and Lily for your dedication. Welcome to the team!

The Osco Andover Fire Department will be initiating a burn ban for Friday, March 14 for the Osco Andover Fire Protection District. No outdoor burning will be allowed.
The NWS has put into effect a high wind advisory and a fire weather watch for Friday as well. Winds forecasted over 50 mph with warm temperatures and low humidity will create hazardous fire conditions. Fires can get out of control and spread very quickly, putting personal property in danger and making it very difficult for firefighters to control and extinguish.
