3 Things I Wish I Knew Before Opening My Massage Practice 💆🏽♀️
I’ve always been the type of person who feels things before I overthink them. I don’t always do all the research or plan every step perfectly—I move with my heart and trust God to carry the rest.
Opening Nourish Room was one of the biggest obstacles I’ve ever faced. I cried. I doubted. I questioned if I was even built for this. But that pressure? It taught me everything.
1. Word of mouth is gold.
Forget what the “Instagram experts” say—real growth for me came from real people. The ones who booked a session, felt the shift in their body, and sent their cousin, sister, or co-worker. Every referral felt like a miracle—and a message to keep going.
2. Your network is everything.
If I didn’t build relationships, I would’ve never made it this far. Someone always knows someone—whether it’s for taxes, social media, licensing, or just telling me where to get a used massage table for half the price. Community carries you when you’re building something bigger than you.
3. Confidence is the secret sauce.
You can’t give a healing experience while doubting yourself. I had to learn: I am the best when I believe in myself. Not because I know everything—but because I’m willing to show up with intention, care, and energy no one else can replicate. Confidence attracts the clients, the growth, and the abundance I used to pray for.
If you’re dreaming of starting something—do it scared, but do it smart. And don’t forget, the real glow-up comes from within. 🌱✨
