The day I've long dreaded has arrived.
Today is my last day at Mountainside Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic. After 8 years, it is my last day seeing kids in Western NC.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted and supported me over the years. Thank you for all the support you've shown to us especially in the last few months.

Know that I will miss you all. (And I'll try to come back to visit!)

We have a lot of stuff at the office to give away--books, toys, clothes, and more.
We have things for sale--a refrigerator, shelves, a Christmas tree, computers, massage/exam tables and probably more!
Ms Rachael will be here til the end of the month but don't wait! Come by and help us empty the place!

Keep in touch and stay healthy! And remember, you can grow older. You can grow wiser. But you don't have to grow up! 🤪

It doesn't matter if you're a patient, a friend, or a stranger, if you'd like a piece of art from our clinic, let us know! We need to add you (each person individually) to our list for the random drawing.

We will take our last entrant next Friday, the 12th, and start drawing on the 15th. We will complete the drawings on the 19th.

I will post pics in the next week.
All pieces must be collected by the 26th. We won't be able to ship or deliver. Sorry!

Now that letters have gone out, and are being received, I can post our sad news here. Due to continued issues with non-payment by medicaid (specifically Amerihealth) we are not getting paid enough to make ends meet at Mountainside Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic.

Unfortunately, this means we will be closing next month. Our last day to see patients is August 19, and we will leave the building August 31. We will continue to be available by phone, fax, facebook and email to help with transitioning and to ensure forms are completed and adequate meds are provided.

This is devastating for all of us. This is my dream clinic, and it has been amazing. Unfortunately, some things are out of our control and in God's hands. I've known some of you for 8 years and have been lucky to be trusted by you and to be a part of your lives. I hope that we will continue to remain in contact, because who knows where this road will lead?!

I don't know where Cypress and I are going, and the clinics I've applied with won't allow him in the office. He will in some way continue to work with kids because that's his calling too! We will let everyone know once we have a plan.

Please know that all of us here have loved every minute of taking care of everyone who has walked in the door, and working with the Andrews Chamber to make our community better. It will be very hard to find a new home without all of you in it!
