My name is Eric Roberts, and I've been practicing massage therapy since 1999. I recently moved to Angel Fire to be closer to family, and I can't wait to engage with this community and it's visitors by helping to facilitate your personal healing journeys! Thai Massage is my primary practice, and it takes place on a mat on the floor, fully clothed (athletic/yoga wear is best. From there, I can properly move and position the body to better leverage into its holding patterns and release them. There is also an element of movement and stretching. the primary philosophy behind Thai Massage is to remove the restrictions that prevent the body's energy from being able to effectively move. I can not recommend this therapy enough for athletes. I do practice massage therapy on the table as well, tho it's likely somewhat different than you're used to. Although not as direct as Thai Massage, my table sessions get right to the point of finding and releasing the restrictions and holding patterns in the soft tissues. I've performed countless deep tissue and Swedish massages during my time working in the spa industry. So at times you may be reminded of other sessions you've had. However, my training in John Barnes' Myofascial Release and in NMT/Trigger Point Therapy are the techniques that really shine through, so you leave feeling looser and ready to reorient into your updated body!
