Meet your couple who will be sharing their powerful recovery story at the JoCo Angels Overdose Awareness and Support
Night on December 1st, at 7:00pm!

Albon and Kristina Overman share a powerful story of redemption, faith, and unwavering perseverance. The two first met during their time in active addiction, but God had a greater plan for their lives. Years later, they found each other again in recovery at Hope Center Ministries in Goldsboro — a place that became the foundation of their transformation.

Through dedication, faith, and hard work, both Albon and Kristina successfully completed their programs and were blessed to regain custody of their daughters. Their journey didn’t stop there — it was only the beginning. They continued to grow in their relationship with Christ, in their recovery, and in their love for one another, eventually getting married and building a life grounded in faith and purpose.

Today, the Overmans are a shining example of God’s grace and the power of second chances. Their lives inspire everyone around them — a reminder that with faith, recovery, and love, true restoration is possible.

- A candlelight vigil will be offered at the end of the night to honor those who have left us too soon.

We have an exciting month planned with powerful lessons, mini-testimonies, and guest speakers!

Tonight is the first Monday of the month, so we are offering a FREE Thanksgiving style dinner. Stacey’s Country Kitchen will be catering and bringing Thanksgiving to Recovery. Join us at 6:00pm for a delicious meal.

Starting at 7:00pm, we will have worship, Chip Celebrations and a lesson from Kevin Carnes.

You won’t want to miss an amazing night. So bring the whole family and join us! We will save you a seat 💚

But you have no real control over your loved one's decision to stop being controlled by substances.

You DO have control over YOUR response to their journey. You can get help for YOURSELF.

You can:
- learn all you can about addiction
- learn 'healthy helping techniques'
- find peer support
- watch helpful videos from addiction professionals on YouTube
- talk to people who have been through it

How do you do all this? Where do you find all this?

Attend a free, PAL support meeting. We have free, nationwide, in-person ( and online) meetings run by trained parent facilitators. We support parents and adult family members of those suffering from substance use disorder.
