Mustard greens are vibrant & strong! If you have low stomach acid or digestive problems, these greens will help naturally increase your HCL (hydrochloric acid) and help digest your meal. Especially meat. I washed them, cut the thicker stalk and stems and sautéed those first for a few minutes with garlic in coconut oil. I added salt, and then added the leafy parts. Sauté a few more minutes. Earlier I had I cooked a whole chicken & deboned it. I cut an avocado and mixed it all together, topped it with h**p seeds, and pickled jalapenos. Delicious

Soak nuts in distilled water. Add one spoonful of sea salt. Cover. Let stand 12 hours. Rinse. Repeat cycle. Then, check your dehydrator for times based off what nut you are dehydrating. I’ve found that about 10 hours works best for pecans and walnuts. Let completely cool before storing. I sprinkle salt on mine, because duh, it’s tasty! Happy fall y’all!

You didn’t “lose balance” because you’re old.
You lost it because you stopped moving.

Let’s stop blaming age for what inactivity caused.
You sat down for years.
You stopped training your legs.
You stopped trusting your body.
And the world told you that was “normal.”
That was graceful aging. It wasn’t.
It was decline...avoidable decline.

Balance isn’t something the young are gifted.
It’s something the active maintain.
And guess what? You can earn it back.
But not by being careful.
By being intentional.
By getting up.
Moving.
Challenging yourself.

If you’re afraid of falling, do something about it.
Train. Get stronger. Get steadier.
Because “just being careful” is exactly how people become fragile.

You’re not fragile. You’re deconditioned.
And that can change if you stop treating age like a diagnosis.

Chayote squash is in the gourd family, high in fiber, vitamin C and folate. It has a slightly sweet taste. I washed and cubed it. Cooked in coconut oil, and added chopped bok choy in the last 5 minutes of cooking. I paired my veggies with swordfish (a once a month fish treat for me) topped on mixed greens and sliced avocado. I used some of my pickled jalapeno juice to mix it all together. His meal is pork chops seasoned with chimichurri seasoning, and gluten free stuffing.

Meat loaf made with Ground lamb. Delicious! My mom always used saltine crackers but I use the almond crackers instead. I baked an acorn squash as a side dish. Added the video to show how easy it is to peel them. Topped with coconut oil and h**p seeds. Added it all on top of a bed of arugula. Paired well for taste and digestion!
