When it comes to kids, things can change fast.
Recognizing early warning signs is critical — and acting quickly can make all the difference.

Seek emergency care immediately if your child has:
* Trouble breathing (fast breathing, chest retractions, blue lips or face)
* Fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher in an infant under 3 months
* Signs of severe dehydration (no tears, very little urine, extreme sleepiness)
* A seizure, fainting episode, or difficulty waking
* Head injury with repeated vomiting, worsening headache, confusion, or loss of consciousness
* Swallowed a high-risk object such as a button battery or magnets

These are not “wait it out” symptoms. They may indicate a serious or life-threatening condition and require prompt medical evaluation.

Angleton ER is open 24/7 with board-certified emergency physicians and on-site imaging — so your child can be assessed without delay.
In a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Neck pain after a crash shouldn't be ignored. 🚗

Whiplash and other neck injuries don't always show up right away. Stiffness, headaches, dizziness, or limited neck movement can appear hours — or even days — after the impact.

If you're also experiencing numbness, weakness, worsening headache, confusion, or chest pain after a crash — don't wait. These can be signs of something more serious.

At Angleton ER, we provide rapid evaluation with board-certified ER physicians and on-site imaging (CT & X-ray) to identify injuries that aren't always obvious at first.

If something doesn't feel right, getting checked is always the safest step.

🟣 Purple Day | Epilepsy Awareness (Mar 26)
When a child has a seizure, it can be terrifying — and knowing when it's an emergency matters.

A first-time seizure
A seizure lasting 5 minutes or longer
Trouble breathing, choking, or bluish color
Back-to-back seizures without fully waking in between
Hard to wake or unusually confused afterward
A seizure following a head injury

At Angleton ER, we're open 24/7 with board-certified ER physicians, hospital-grade labs, and on-site imaging to evaluate urgent symptoms and guide the next step in care.

⚾️🥎 Baseball and softball send nearly 110,000 kids to U.S. ERs every year — and face injuries are a big reason why.
A hard hit from a ball or bat can cause a fracture, eye injury, dental injury, or concussion — not just a bruise. When in doubt, get checked.
Get emergency care right away for:

Heavy bleeding or trouble breathing
Severe swelling, deformity, or numbness
Vision changes or eye pain
Vomiting, confusion, or fainting
A knocked-out tooth or deep cut

Angleton ER is open 24/7 with board-certified ER physicians, hospital-grade labs, and on-site imaging (X-ray/CT). Walk in anytime.

• Drooling or trouble swallowing
• Repeated vomiting
• Extreme sleepiness or confusion
• Suspected ingestion of a high-risk object

At Angleton ER, our emergency team is available 24/7 to evaluate and treat urgent medical situations.
