Hello! This is a personal post for me, hoping I can reach some people. This little guy, Buddy, showed up at my clinic door last week, skinny and asking for help. Those who know me.....know I am the ultimate animal lover and could not turn him away.....so, I am currently fostering him through the Humane Community Shelter in Angola.
This little guy is stunning! He is a Marbled Tabby, meaning he has the thick racing stripes down his back, the perfect bulls eye on each side and the butterfly wings on his shoulders........we don't see these markings very often.😍 He is about 5 months old and will be a big boy, by the size of his paws. He is sweet, SOFT and playful.
He has obviously not been inside a house before and is a bit nervous, until he feels comfortable. He would do best with older kids, 12 and up. I worry that the enthusiasm of younger kiddos would make him nervous. So a patient new family that will give him time and patience to adjust would be best. And of course.....an inside only home. This little guy has had a rough start on the outside, and I am hoping to find him his forever inside home and a life of spoiled kitty luxuries.🙂
He will be neutered, all his shots and feline leukemia/FIV tested tomorrow, on Tuesday, and ready for his new home after. If you are thinking about adding a new kitty family member, I am glad to answer any questions or bring him to the shelter for a meet and greet. If not, I would appreciate if you could share Buddy's story with others, so we can find this boy his new forever home.❤️🐾
Also, if you are not ready for a new family member, but would be open to fostering Buddy, that would be great. My kitty was recently diagnosed with cancer💔 and I need to keep stress to a minimum......needless to say, he is not happy with a new kitty in the house. The shelter provides all food and supplies if needed. Just reach out if you are interested. Fostering is also a great way to see if the kitty is a fit or not. I have personal experience with being a foster failure.🙃
