When you meet her, you’ll be amazed at her courage to attack her days and her seemingly unbreakable strength.
She a woman unlike any other- she’s very real with a heart of gold and an unstoppable spirit.
But what you don’t see are the moments when this strong and beautiful woman steals away from life, determined to find some much needed time to recollect herself.
Underneath the fierce armor of a facade she projects is a sensitive and caring soul that gets beaten down and hurt at times…
But she’s also proud and resilient, so she tucks away the hurt and weariness until she can make the time to patch her emotional holes and rekindle her spark.
She’ll never be without feelings, for she follows her heart and listens to her soul..
She’s a deeply empathic person who is always connected to the people around her-
Even if it often drains her and makes her weary..
So, whatever she does to rebuild her energy, she finds moments here and there to reclaim her fighting spirit..sometimes, tears momentarily stain her face as she releases her pent up frustrations…
In the shower, in the car, in the bathroom at work..
Wherever she can scrounge up the time for herself, she holds on to those quiet times tightly.
Those are instants of respite that allow her to keep going, stay strong and be a fighter.
She’s not weak or needy, she’s human.
She’s strong when she has to be, and in her life, that’s all the time..
So, when you see her, you’ll never know the tears she sheds behind closed doors and the emotional wounds she patches up quietly..
For she’s a strong woman,
And she’ll always be a warrior with heart.
She’ll tackle any obstacle, love her people hard and live each day to its fullest..
And she’ll do it all with a smile on her face.

She never set out to become strong, independent or resilient, but life had other plans.
She didn’t choose the path her life took- it chose her..
So she did what she had to do, grew stronger when she needed to and learned how to fight back, rise above and keep going..
Even when she felt like quitting so many times.
That’s not who she is or will ever be, though.
She doesn’t know how to stay down, accept defeat or be okay with giving up.
Truth is, she never saw half of what happened coming and she definitely had no idea how to make it through..
But she figured it out-
She always has.
It might not always be graceful, well planned or executed flawlessly…but she gets it done.
She’s not always had the strength or fortitude to push through and there were so many times she thought life would pull her under, but somehow, she would fight through.
The storms she has survived have made her appreciate the rainbows after the rain..
And she’s thankful for the moments that have turned into memories, people that turned into friends and the setbacks that turned into comebacks.
There will always be hard days, formidable challenges and stormy times..
But she’s learned to never let it overwhelm her or make her question herself.
She’ll find the answers, figure out the path forward and dig deeply to find her strength- she always has.
She’s more than a survivor, she’s a warrior with a heart of gold and an iron will.
For her, this life wasn’t ever a choice-
It’s who she was meant to be.
And as surely as tomorrow will rise, the first rays of sunrise will find her doing what she does best..
Living purposefully and loving passionately.
She’s got this,
And she always will..
Because she is me..
And I’m a strong woman,
And that’s what strong women do.
Overcome, fly high and shine brightly.
