By using the Xcite FES device for seated push ups, the impact of this therapeutic activity is elevated in order to support muscle re-education. This device enhances active muscle contractions, facilitates dynamic and reciprocal movement patterns for normalized input, and provies patient feedback.

One of the many things we are grateful for this season is the way our team takes care of each other. After seeing a need, a couple of staff members organized an internal food pantry that On With Life staff are able to take from as needed. In a matter of hours the shelves and refrigerator were stocked with a variety of foods and household items, and it has been an incredible resource for staff members from all of our programs and locations over the last few weeks.

As we head into the holidays, we hope to continue the momentum and keep the Sharing Shelf fully stocked. Interested in contributing? We would love to have your support! Items can be dropped off at the front desk of our inpatient location (715 SW Ankeny Rd), or monetary donations can be made at onwithlife.org/sharingspace.

Thanks to the hard work of these volunteers from EMC Insurance, we were able to build and install these fence panels at our family houses. We also purchased new outdoor furniture for the family houses from Deck Central Outdoor Furniture & Decking, one of our wonderful donors from this year's Celebrate Life event! Persons served and their families will now be able to enjoy these outdoor spaces for years to come.

Harry Potter week made a comeback this year! An entire ~magical~ week of movies, activities, and dress up themes. Staff members went all in and made it an extra special week for persons served!

At On With Life Halloween is more than just a day to dress up, it's an opportunity for our persons served to engage with the community. We love having our staff bring their little ones to trick or treat and interact with persons served - everyone leaves the evening with a big smile on their face and plenty of candy in their bags!
