Mill Pond celebrated its 20th year of serving seniors in Ankeny and launched a redevelopment project in June 2015 that added 64 independent living, 40 assisted living, and 18 memory care apartments. Plus a combination of new construction and remodeled health center with options for long term care or short-term rehabilitation, and transitional care.

What a sweet treat! 🍯 We had The 2026 Iowa Honey Queen🐝 at Mill Pond.

She shared the life cycle of the honey bee with vivid pictures and fun facts. Thank you for sharing your bee keeping experiences, and talking to us about how the weather impacts the bee being able to efficiently make honey.

With her 8 hives, and stories of saving hives in nature, our minds are sure to be buzzing for quite some time 🤭.

We enjoy creating and helping to honor special moments at Mill Pond. With Veterans Day, right around the corner I am excited to display this beautiful quilt to our online community. Currently displayed in our chapel, our residents have xome together to design and sew our 2025 Veterans Day Quilt!

This handwork is not only for display, but those who had part in creating it have asked that it be the raffle prize for one special veteran. Winner will be announced 11/11 during our Veterans program.
