Aaron may have gone floating through the clouds for his birthday but I got to go Barnes & Noble & get five new books. 😍😍 We went in with only a twenty minute window but somehow found multiple books on my “to read” list. I suggested Barnes & Nobles become a new birthday tradition. 🥳

Welcome to the Colyer Zoo! Our newest addition is Russel, a 1 year old blue iguana. He is Aben’s new little buddy and he is named after the Boy Scout in Up. Children need responsibility and Aben thrives when he has to step up to the plate. We are so proud of this young man and everything he has accomplished this year.

On Wednesday we got to visit Aben in Iowa Falls for Family Night. By the end of the week Aben will have 1500 miles under him from this summer alone. This week has been incredibly hot with two very hard days of headwind. This was Aben’s first week away from home without family and the homesickness has been something he has had to work through, on top of the heat, sleeping in a tent, and cycling over 400 miles in a span of a week. We are so proud of him and all of Dream Team. The dedication these young people have shown is something that they will carry with them into adulthood. Here is to a week of growing and maturing and taking on new challenges. We can't wait to have him home Saturday!
