Today Sunnyview teamed up with Suncrest hospice, and we put together a veterans appreciation lunch!!! Our fabulous dietary department cooked ribeyes, baked potatoes, and broccoli!!! Suncrest provided music, entertainment, and dessert!!! Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make this happen for the veterans, they are so deserving!!!! Thank you to all veterans, we sure do appreciate you!!!!

Last night, sunnyview had a special bingo hosted by the girls ankeny wrestling team!!! Our residents had many laughs and enjoyed playing with the girls!!! I would like to thank the team for all their help and we look forward to them coming back!!

Happy Mardi Gras from Sunnyview care center!!!!! Our residents had a blast celebrating the Cajun culture!!!! We enjoyed king cake, beads, and cajun music!!!! Now that we got fat Tuesday out of our system, we are ready for Lent!!!! Laissez les bon temp rouler 💜💛💜

Today Sunnyview had a valentines social!! Our sweet heart princess is Sharon Duffy and our prince is Bob Bisgaard!!! Our queen is Sandy McIntyre and our king is Denny Pauscher!!! We also enjoyed music from Tom Irwin 🎶 ❤️👑

Sunnyview residents attended community classroom today! Cindy Warners class was "goodbye Nutcracker" our residents were so interested in the history of the Nutcracker and asked great questions! Everyone really loved her collection and all the different versions of the Nutcracker!!! Thank you so much Cindy, we can't wait for the next class!!!

Our Sunnyview residents got to try snacks from France!! We sure are enjoying our universal yum club boxes!! Each month we try a different country, and then we get a stamp on our passports!!

Today our Sunnyview residents received flowers for valentines from Joseph!!! Joseph is the son of our director of nurses!!! The residents felt all the love today!!! Thank you to Alan and Liz for bringing Joseph and the flowers!!!!!

Today Sunnyview had a memorial bingo for our late resident George C**n!! The bingo cart was full of prizes that George won over the time he spent at Sunnyview! We are so thankful to his family for donating them!! George was a great guy!! He kept us laughing all the time! He loved coming to activities and he absolutely LOVED bingo!! He will be greatly missed by staff and residents 💙
