Yesterday came and went, but it was actually a big day for me. Kind - Laser, Skin & Wellness had a birthday. We turned five years old. 😭 I spent a lot of time yesterday trying to make a post about this, but I was emotional and then also for whatever reason both apps wouldn’t let me post a reel at all yesterday. 😩 but I think it’s important that we talk about milestones and we talk about our “WHYS?” Kind was and has always been an act resistance. In late stage capitalism, the definition of the word itself is an act of rebellion. In a world that tells you in order to be valid and feel good about yourself, that you must fit into a certain criteria in your physical appearance, Kind is here to celebrate you and help you love YOU, regardless of your size, age, gender, income, race, gender, physical form, and religion. We celebrate diversity and we love empowering folks to feel free to be their authentic selves. We believe in bodily autonomy, human rights and that skin care and self-care is for everyone. We believe in systems of mutual aid and supporting our community. We provide services with care and integrity. As we continue to operate in a place where corporate Kings are designed to break us, we stand firm in our commitment to be the change. I am not afraid and I will not back down. Kind is a safe space for women, trans folks, immigrants, POC, all members of the LGBTQ+ community, and all good humans who support freedom and equal rights. As always, there’s a lot to say, but even more to be done.
We’ve done a lot of good and we’ve come a long way. And we’re still trying to improve.
Thank you for believing in me and our mission. -
“Self care that cares for others”
I have so much gratitude to all of you who have supported me/us in any way. We wouldn’t be here without your support.
I love you all so very much. ❤️
