One thing I love about the myofascial work I do is the daily opportunity to facilitate positive change.

It's *positive* change because it's proportional--your body guides the process--so we don't over-do, over-work, or overwhelm...and it's really *change,* because you can actually feel different in your body as a result.

I don't work "on" you; I work *with* you. 🙂 Together we look for changes that serve and integrate with your goals.

Check out this image of monarch butterflies and native milkweed...😍

I hang it in my treatment room as a natural reminder that for the body, there are so many stages of change: beautiful, messy, mysterious, obvious, subtle, dramatic... both distinctly measurable and yet always in process. 🩋

At Linden, it's a privilege to be present with you and to facilitate those positive changes.

Grateful for my 86 year old Pop Pop, who came for a massage during his Thanksgiving visit! đŸ„°

Despite challenges, he's shown me over the course of his long life what it looks like to focus on what *is* working, treating others well, and helping to solve problems.

As a therapist, I want to know your body's pain points, discomforts, needs, and hopes, so together we can work towards more things working. 💛 🌿

“You’ve found THE SPOT.” —say most of my clients.

So glad we found it!

How we treat it after finding it matters even more.

I choose to honor, observe, and respect the hurting spots, because (in my view) they’re messengers letting us know that something needs attention, care, or change.

And true listening leads to truly effective responses.đŸŒ±

I studied Shakespeare in college, and never, ever dreamed I’d be listening to the stories of the body for a living.

Turns out...that loving listening to stories, thinking about stories, and telling stories has made me endlessly interested in —and strangely adept at helping— my clients’ desires to shift, change, respect, or edit their body stories. Time and again, we find that writing a new one is possible. Just remember that you and your body are incredible!

If you have trouble taking a full breath, or struggle with panic attacks, anxiety, and racing thoughts, consider working intentionally with the muscles and fascia that attach to your ribs.
Targeted myofascial release in these areas can supercharge the therapeutic work you’re doing with a psychotherapist or mindfulness coach by releasing the toght or constricted tissue around your muscles of breath.
I know because I’ve healed and managed intense anxiety and depression using intelligent bodywork as a complement to mind-emotion- and family-focused therapies. When the mind and the heart are doing their best and still getting stuck, supporting the body and nervous system can be a game-changer.
Reach out now if this would support your journey and health💚.
If you’re a licensed psychotherapist,
coach, or counselor whose clients are stuck and needing a complimentary resource to your good work (which can be immediately effective and lasting in 1-3 sessions), please consider me as a strong potential member of their care, resource, and vitality team. 💚

Sometimes I catch myself wishing some part of my life was just...easier.

Like a raindrop sliding down a window and finding the path of least resistance—down, down, down—joining other drops along the way until it seems to get effortlessly where it’s going.

This is a note for when that’s not happening.

If we let it, compassionate touch can gently bring us back from our wishing minds to our present reality. I love this experience, probably because I often need help with it myself! Touch helps me tell the truth when I’ve been wrapped up in my mind. It helps me say, “I’m here. What choice can I make?”

However you like to live well—in the present, in your body—here’s a little encouragement to keep it up.

There’s only one you on this earth—your palms, your fingerprints—so take care of yourself. 💚
