Flashback to last year when I received my Holy Fire® I & II Reiki certification!

I first discovered I was a conduit when I rid myself of a debilitating migraine. I have been suffering from migraines since early childhood and one day, at a friend’s birthday party, I felt a migraine coming on. “Oh, no,” I thought to myself. I didn’t have any medicine with me, nor did I want to interrupt the festivities. “Not now, this will not happen now.” So, I laid my head back, closed my eyes, and envisioned a white and gold and sparkly healing light coming in from the heavens above, wrapping its beautiful energy around my bad and angry migraine spot, and absorb and vanish it out and away from me. And just like that, my migraine was gone.

“What is Reiki,” you may be asking yourself. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing (reiki.org). Reiki is provided as it’s own therapeutic treatment. However, have you ever stood next to someone and just felt relaxed and happy for no reason other than that person felt good to be around? Hi! I’m Amanda and I’m the owner and founder of Elevate Energy & Bodywork, L.L.C. I have been a practicing licensed massage therapist for nearly 9 years and recently decided to open my own practice! My massage style is a combination of slow Swedish movements, combined with the hands-free style of Lomi Lomi, and a touch of myofascial and neuromuscular techniques. I work very intuitively and can easily sense your trouble spots. Additionally, I offer facilitated stretching and Reiki treatments.
