How much protein do you really need after 50?

The standard nutrition label answer was set decades ago using research on younger adults. Our RD Camille just published a new piece walking through what current research suggests, plus a personalized calculator and a 5-question quiz to get started on the right foot.

Take a look:

Most nutrition advice for adults over 50 is built on the wrong data. A Registered Dietitian explains what works instead.

Creatine is one of the most studied supplements we have, and most of what people know about it is wrong.

It's not just for the gym. It's not bad for your kidneys. And the evidence in older adults for muscle growth, strength, and even cognition keeps stacking up.

Here's what the research actually shows.

ACSM-EP. CPT. CSCS. CREP. If you have ever looked at a fitness professional's credentials and had no idea what any of it meant, you are not alone.

Those letters are not interchangeable. They point to different training, different expertise, and different use cases, and the one you choose quietly shapes everything about your results.

An Exercise Physiologist is a degreed professional trained to apply exercise as a tool for your actual health, not just your workout. That distinction is why the credential matters.

In his latest blog, CEO Michael Stack decodes the alphabet soup and points you toward the professional whose training actually fits your goals, your routine, and the life you are living right now.

That granola bar labeled "made with whole grains" and "only 100 calories"?

Flip it over.

The nutrition label tells a different story than the front of the package, and food companies are counting on you not reading it. "Natural" has no formal FDA definition. "Zero trans fat" can still contain trans fat. "Multigrain" can mean 100% refined flour.

Our registered dietitian Camille Pearce wrote a full breakdown of what the label actually says, what it hides, and what to look for instead — whether you're managing blood sugar, building muscle, or just trying to make smarter choices at the grocery store.

Most of our members come in each week focused on feeling better, getting stronger, or simply staying consistent.

That commitment matters more than most people realize. We see it every day. Our members feel it in their lives.

As a team, we have been thinking about how that commitment connects to the broader conversation around health and behavior change. Not just weight loss or fitness trends, but long-term wellbeing, rising healthcare costs, and how communities can stay healthier for longer.

Our CEO, Michael Stack, recently shared some of these perspectives in a new blog. It offers a wider lens than what we typically post here, but it may resonate with those who like to understand the deeper “why” behind the work happening inside our walls.
