Today is World Su***de Prevention Day — and we believe prevention starts with compassion, not barriers.

But the reality is heavy: this year alone, states introduced over 600 anti-LGBTQ+ bills, many targeting trans youth. (ACLU) These policies don’t just exist on paper—they create real harm for real people.

We also know the numbers:

-39% of LGBTQ+ young people seriously considered su***de in the past year.

-That number climbs to 46% for trans and nonbinary youth. (The Trevor Project)

-In the U.S., over 49,000 lives were lost to su***de in 2023. Globally, it’s more than 720,000 each year. (CDC, WHO)

-In the U.S., su***de is the 2nd leading cause of death among people ages 10-14 and among people ages 15-24, and the 11th leading cause of death overall.

Behind every number is someone’s child, sibling, partner, friend. Which is why we share this: stigma, silence, and policy barriers cost lives. Connection and affirming care save them.

Hours start at 5-8 per week with the likelihood of increasing to upwards of 10-15 in a few months as our team's needs increase. Pay is $22/hour to start.

✔️Responsive & reliable – Daytime availability (between 9am-5pm) during the week to respond to client inquiries (emails/voicemails) within 24–48 hours and follow through on deadlines.

✔️Organized & adaptable – Skilled at juggling multiple priorities, staying on top of details, and thriving in a role that mixes consistent weekly tasks with new, one-off projects.

✔️Warm & client-centered – The kind of person who makes people feel cared for immediately, whether over the phone or in an email.

✔️Self-starter – Comfortable running with tasks independently once trained, whether it’s verifying insurance benefits or pulling together marketing materials for an upcoming community event.

We’re so excited to welcome Hannah Frankel, PMHNP-BC to our team! Hannah is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner so she can help figure out if medication might be part of the answer for you, and if it is, she can prescribe it and walk alongside you as you find what works best.

She’s now accepting new clients with BCBS PPO starting the week of August 25!

Hannah specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults navigating:
