Looking for support? We have several different free support groups for people who live with a mental health condition, and for friends and family members who live in support of a loved one. Registration is open for our Family-to-Family classes starting in March: an in-person class starting Tuesday, March 10 and an online class starting Wednesday, March 11. Family-to-Family is an 8-week class for families, significant others, and friends of people with mental health conditions. The class is free, peer-led, and confidential, and covers information about mental health conditions, communication, problem solving, treatment, recovery, and self-care. Interested in joining? Enhanced advance premium tax credits (eAPTCs) help make health care coverage more affordable by lowering monthly premiums for millions of Americans. Critically, 1 in 6 people who get these credits have used their coverage for mental health benefits. Without Congressional action, eAPTCs will expire at the end of the year and drive-up monthly costs for families nationwide. This will force people to choose between spending money on their health coverage or other essential needs.

The U.S. Senate is expected to vote today (Thursday) on different health-focused proposals. One thing is certain: if Congress doesn’t act to extend these important health coverage tax credits immediately, millions will lose coverage of lifesaving mental health care.
