I wanted to follow my last post with something positive - then what can I do when my little ones are struggling?
My older son just loved foot rubs. My younger son loved back rubs. They both just absorb the "doting." They enjoy the reminder that no classes or activities are as important as providing their body the space to heal - so that they can return stronger.
There isn't much extra to do for babies under 6 months. Feed them. Hold them. When you're tired, pass them to another set of loving arms, if available.
Many kids are so, so picky about supplements. In that case, please don't underestimate the value of hugs, and water, and warm blankets, and sleep.
Take care of yourself, too, during these hard seasons!
