Chamness Care, Inc. – Anna, IL

Chamness Care, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant or CPA to join our team. This role will work closely with leadership to manage financial operations and support the continued growth of our organization.

Position Type: Full-time or Part-time
Location: Main Office – Anna, IL
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions
• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Assist with budgeting and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Support audits and tax preparation processes
• Monitor cash flow and financial reporting
• Work closely with CFO on financial strategy and reporting
• Adjust loan balances
• Prepare residential tax returns
• Prepare W-2/W-3 and 1099 forms
• Reconcile 941s and W-3
• Prepare and file payroll tax returns (federal and state)
• Reconcile all liability accounts
• Submit unemployment reports to the state
• Assist with financial audits and 401(k) audits
** any knowledge in IT would be a plus

Qualifications:
• CPA preferred (or CPA candidate with relevant experience)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with QuickBooks required or strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check

Chamness Care, Inc. is currently seeking a reliable and organized Administrative Assistant to help support the CFO with a variety of office and administrative tasks. This position may be part-time or full-time depending on the candidate and business needs. Competitive pay offered.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Filing bills and client paperwork
• Assisting with Social Security and Medicaid redeterminations (with oversight)
• Helping break down bills and receipts
• Assisting with resident-related information and documentation
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail for the CFO
• Ordering and tracking office supplies
• Assisting the CFO with miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed, as well as other duties being added in.

Qualifications:
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
• Must be able to pass a background check
• High school diploma or GED required

Chamness Care, Inc., Community Integrated Living Arrangements provide residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities in local community settings. Adults with an intellectual disability, reside in settings of eight or fewer individuals and are provided with an individually tailored array of services.

Chamness Care, Inc. was founded in December, 1993. Chamness Care opened its first residential site in Cobden, Illinois. Since then, we have grown to be known as one of Southern Illinois BEST CILA providers. We have customized living arrangements from 2 to eight individuals in a home.
