Anna Foot & Ankle Specialists has moved! Dr. Dodder continues to provide excellent care for your feet and ankle problems at our new office in the Medical Building (including TPG) on the southbound side of Hwy 75. Diabetics can experience serious complications in the feet, including loss of sensation, blood flow issues, ulcers, infections, and even amputation. People with diabetes should do daily foot exams and see a podiatrist for a diabetic foot exam at least once a year. Dr. Dodder will perform an annual diabetic exam which checks blood flow and nerve sensation in your feet. He can also help reduce pre-ulcerative calluses, preventing development of wounds. Dr. Dodder has joined the great state of Texas along with his wife, Wendy and their two children. In light of the reopening of the Texas economy, as of May 1st, our practice will schedule patients for ALL types of foot care. We will, however, continue to follow appropriate precautions as follows:

- Patients may only bring one non-patient to accompany them, if needed.

- We will follow social distancing requirements in our waiting room. To this end, we will continue to offer, and may require, waiting in cars until appointment times to protect patient space.

- We encourage all patients to wear a face mask when in public, including at our office.

- We are asking every patient who comes in the office to use hand sanitizer or hand washing upon entry.

- We will continue to verbally screen for symptoms of COVID-19 and will ask you to reschedule if you have been running a fever or demonstrating other signs of illness.

- Our employees are also continuing to self-monitor temperatures and use increased sanitizing procedures in the office including frequent hand washing, use of gloves and face masks, etc.

Dr. Boyd Dodder, DPM, our Anna based podiatrist is board certified in foot surgery & rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS). Through his residency programs at Dept. of Veteran Affairs Medical Center and at Lovelace Health System of Albuquerque, NM, Dr. Dodder received excellent training with wound care, including treatment for diabetics with ulcers, sports medicine, and bony deformities. With this training, he is providing care for a full range of foot and ankle injuries and conditions; from ingrown toenails and plantar fasciitis to bunions, hammertoes and damaged tendons and ligaments, Dr. Dodder is prepared to alleviate your pain with the best modern podiatric skills. ---Dr. Dodder joins the great state of Texas after practicing podiatry in New Mexico and California for more than 15 years. He and his wife Wendy and their two children are excited to settle into their new community and get to know the wonderful patients and neighbors here. His own experiences with sports injuries as a child have led him to be passionate in the treatment of foot and ankle injuries. Dr. Dodder graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Cal Polytechnic State University and earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from California College of Podiatric Medicine. He was the previously Vice President of the New Mexico Board of Podiatry and was voted by his New Mexico community as the Best Podiatrist in the Rio Rancho area in 2020. Outside of the office, he enjoys biking, yard work, coaching his son’s sports teams, and being in the outdoors.
