Give to the Max Day is a time when we invite our community to rally together to support us in fostering healing, learning, and connection for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists, activists, and healers in Minnesota and beyond.

Our GTMD23 Goal: For 100 people to give $25 to support Rootsprings' Solidarity Stay Program, free stays for community members with financial barriers and a deep need for culturally affirming, land-based healing. Reaching this goal will fund 15-20 nights within the Solidarity Stay Program.

Early giving begins November 1!

The fall season asks us to slow down, shift our energy inward, and nourish our roots. Join Rootsprings Managing Director Bridgette Kelly on Tuesday, October 10 at 6 p.m. for a virtual guided meditation, journal reflection, and update on Rootsprings New Nourishment Campaign.

Guests are invited to bring a journal for the reflection portion and are encouraged to create a calming environment free of outside distractions. No experience with meditation is necessary to participate, this will be a guided experience.

Offerings to cultivate a nourishing environment:
- lights are off or turned down low
- a warm cup of tea or cider
- a burning candle or incense
- bolsters, pillows, blankets for comfort

The Fields at Rootsprings is stewarding liberating space for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists, activists, healers, and community in Minnesota and beyond.

Rootsprings had the honor of participating in the Black Arts Archive Circle Gathering, led by Ego Ahaiwe Sowinski, Seitu Jones, Ta-coumba Aikenand, Davu Seru, and, Shannon Brunette.

This gathering emphasized and affirmed the work of archiving and collecting our stories for ourselves. There was a spotlight on the personal archiving process Ta-coumba Aikenand, and Seitu Jones are focusing on as they work to cement their legacy and tell the story of their place in community.

We left with the understanding that an archive is a step towards active remembering✨✨
