I asked my wonderful patient and a local mental health care therapist and advocate what advice she can give us all, spinning with life and responsibilities and taking no time for ourselves- please heed her advice below, it can change your whole perspective!
Making Time for You- 5-Minute Exercises

We all have good intentions about doing our exercises… until real life happens. Suddenly, those five minutes turn into “maybe tomorrow.” But here’s the thing, five minutes really can make a difference (and you definitely deserve a gold star for showing up at all).

Try these tips to sneak them in without adding more stress:
    •    Pair it with something you already do. Stretch while your coffee brews, do your core work while watching Netflix, meditate while laying on your fulcrums, or balance while brushing your teeth. (Multitasking totally counts as self-care, right?)
    •    Keep it obvious. Leave your exercise band where you’ll trip over it — metaphorically or literally. Visual cues in high-traffic spots are your best reminder to get them done.
    •    Think “some” over “perfect.” One round is better than none. One or two days a week is better than none. Your body doesn’t need perfection; it just needs consistency.
    •    Celebrate the win. When you finish, say out loud, “Hey, I actually took care of myself today.” Positive reinforcement works — even on grown-ups.
    •    Notice the payoff. Less stiffness? Easier movement? Those tiny changes add up, and remind you why it’s worth it.

Connect it to your bigger “why.”
You’re not just checking off an exercise — you’re investing in what matters most to you: feeling more comfortable in your body, having energy for the things and people you love, and taking steps (literally) toward long-term wellness. When you reconnect with why you’re doing it, five minutes feels a lot more doable, and more meaningful.
