An individualized screening plan, created with your physician, is one of the best ways to protect your long-term health.

If you’re unsure when to start or what’s right for you, our team of urologists can help guide the next steps.

Blood in the urine can be caused by a range of things. Some are benign, such as kidney stones, infections, or prostate changes, and sometimes the cause isn’t immediately clear.

That’s why any blood in the urine — visible or microscopic — should be evaluated by a urologist. Our team is here to help identify what’s going on and talk through next steps, so you feel informed and supported.

If you’ve noticed changes or have concerns, we’re here for you.

Blood in the urine is never normal, even if it happens just once.

There are two types:
• Microscopic – blood you can’t see, only detected on a test
• Visible – blood you can see in the urine

Both deserve attention. Blood in the urine can be an early sign of infection, kidney stones, or a more serious condition, which is why regular checkups and paying attention to symptoms matter.

If something feels off, trust your body.

Not sure when it’s time to see a urologist?
Here are a few signs it might be worth scheduling a visit 👇

✔️ Blood in the urine
✔️ Flank pain (possible kidney stones)
✔️ Questions about prostate cancer screening

For most people at average risk, prostate cancer screening typically starts around age 50, but may be recommended earlier in your 40s.

When in doubt, getting checked is always a smart move.

We’ll keep this simple (and a little bit serious).

Putting objects where they don’t belong can lead to injury, infection, and long-term complications. And yes, it happens more often than you might think.

If something goes wrong or you’re feeling pain, don’t be embarrassed and don’t wait. Our team at AA Urology is here to help. Judgment-free, compassionate, and focused on your safety.

When in doubt, get it checked.

February is Cancer Prevention Month, and early detection saves lives.

Prostate cancer screening with a PSA test is an important conversation to have with your doctor, typically between the ages of 45 and 50.

If a PSA level is elevated, a urologist can help evaluate what’s going on and guide next steps. Early awareness and the right follow-up make a difference.

Have questions or concerns? Our team at AA Urology is here to provide clear answers and compassionate care.
