Happy World Menopause Day!

Yeah, yeah… I know what you’re thinking: Why should we celebrate the most challenging time of our lives?

The real question is: why shouldn’t we?

Body, mind, and spirit—from the moment we start recognizing “the shift” until (literally) the end of our lives—our physical, mental and emotional well-being is different than anything we’ve ever experienced before.

Stay inspired!

Be intentional. Be curious! Keep asking questions to seek the support you so desperately need.

But let’s be honest: It sounds so simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. This is why we call it a practice!

A few years ago, I hosted an epic women's retreat in Belize.

After we returned home, one of the women -- who's a high-achieving badass, by the way -- told me she was surprised at how easily she was able to rest. No guilt. No hesitation. She just needed the rest. After all -- no one needed her, except her.

"I slept 17 hours, on average, every single day of the retreat."

Trust me... I'm not even kidding one bit.

Isn't that incredible?! And ohhh, so luscious.

During the night, she slept like a baby. During the day, she'd head to a hammock or her luxury room to tuck herself back into those super soft sheets for a relaxing midday snooze.

When we returned home, she had this to say:

"I had never done anything like this before, as a wife, mother and business owner, taking time off away from it all was never something I would prioritize for myself. After years of exhaustion, burnout, being over-stressed and completely disconnected from myself, I decided to JUST GO FOR IT!

The Stretch Your Spirit retreat was so well planned, every need met, every detail thought of and plenty of time and space to get it all in without feeling rushed or obligated to participate. It was the perfect balance and just what I needed.
