Winter weather makes slips and falls far more common—and foot and ankle injuries often follow.

A few simple habits can make a big difference:
✔ Wear shoes with good traction
✔ Watch for shiny spots and color changes on sidewalks
✔ Take your time when conditions are icy

And if someone slips in front of you…that’s your sign to choose a different path 😉

Welcome to our new followers. A little about Peake Podiatry...

Dr. Patel is originally from South Jersey but now has established roots in Annapolis, MD.

He went to Rutgers University and earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering and then went on to Temple University for podiatric medical school. His 3-year surgical residency was at Phoenixville Hospital (now Tower Health) in the Main Line Area in PA and then completed a one-year Fellowship in Naples, FL in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery + Minimally Invasive Surgery.

He is board certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

After practicing in Naples, FL for 3 years, he moved back up to the northeast to be closer to family, but the added benefit is now he can paddleboard without alligators in the water!

Other interests include being co-owner of X-Golf Annapolis and being prominent in teaching students, residents, and fellows nationally and internationally.
