🪨 Hot stone benefits:
Heat reduces pain, increases blood flow, and increases range of motion.
Reduces pain: Sensations of heat mediated by thermoreceptors (sensory receptors in the body that detect changes in temperatures) may interfere with pain signals traveling to the brain, raising the pain threshold. Pain reduction may also occur indirectly through increased blood flow and relaxation of muscle spasms
Blood Flow increases: Heat stimulates vasodilation, causing an increase in blood flow
Increases range of motion: these are the result of increased collagen extensibility and lengthening of tissues
🌿 Therapeutic Qualities of Lavender: Muscle relaxant, skin conditioner, soothing agent, astringent. Lavender also combats insomnia, calms and balances the mind, eases irritability.
🦶🏼✋🏽 Hand/Foot Scrub benefits: Stimulate circulation, promotes relaxation, and removes dead skin. Certain scrubs can hydrate the skin as well.
