The Fern House in Accra 💛

Trent spent time at The Fern House - eating with the kids, helping serve dinner, laughing, playing, and getting climbed on by little ones who were SO excited to see him again.

This home continues to be a place of safety, structure, and love for children who need it most. Every visit reminds us why we do this. 🤍🇬🇭

Today we visited a village near Boti Falls where we were able to donate rice, oil, clothing, and essentials to the school and church community.

The children lined up in their bright uniforms, full of curiosity and excitement. Parents and leaders gathered with us as we handed out the supplies — simple items that make a real difference here.

Afterward, we visited Boti Falls, a beautiful reminder of the hope and joy in this part of Ghana.

Trent went to Chorkor to visit and feed the widows, some of the most resilient, faith-filled women you’ll ever meet.

Each one received a bundle of basics: rice, oil, tomatoes, tissue, and household essentials. Simple items, but deeply needed.
And as you can see, they received them with gratitude and joy that humbles us every time.

These women have carried so much loss, responsibility, and the weight of caring for their families with very little.
Yet when we sit with them, they smile, they pray over us, and they remind us what true strength looks like.

We’re grateful to be here, grateful to see them again, and grateful for everyone back home who helps make this moment possible.

“We Have Arrived in Ghana”

We’ve arrived in Ghana, and yesterday we were able to join the feeding program at Deliverance School — more than 300 kids gathered in one room for a hot meal.

When that many children are hungry and excited, the energy gets intense. There’s crowding, pushing, little hands reaching forward — not out of misbehavior, but because this meal matters and they don’t want to miss their turn.

And then, as soon as the food reaches their hands…
everything shifts.
The room settles.
Smiles come out.
There’s a calmness and relief that’s hard to explain unless you’ve seen it.

Being here reminds us why we come. A simple meal, served with love, really can change someone’s whole day.

As we continue visiting the schools, children’s homes, and widows we support, we’re grateful for every person who helps make these moments possible.

We’re just a week away from heading to Ghana — and one of the biggest things on our hearts this year is the new home for the children at Assurance of Hope.

Right now, 75 kids and 15 staff share rooms that are too small but full of love. It’s time to give them space that’s safe, steady, and truly theirs.

This trip, we’re taking the next steps toward building that home.

Deliverance School is home to over 300 children who show up ready to learn — even when supplies are scarce and desks are shared.

We’ll be visiting them next month to bring food, school supplies, and hygiene kits — simple things that make a big difference in their daily lives.

There are 40 widows we’ll visit in Chorkor, Ghana next month.

They’ve lost husbands and, in many cases, everything else — yet they greet us with songs and smiles that feel like pure faith.

Our goal this week is simple: cover food and medicine for all 40 widows before we leave on November 12.

We’re heading back to Ghana on November 12.

That’s one dinner here.
It’s a month of medicine there.

On every trip we encounter illness and wounds - children with malaria, infections, coughs, and burns.

We regularly get messages from the caregivers asking for help to treat simple things: a headache, a skin rash, a wound that won’t heal.

In Ghana, $65 buys over $300 worth of medicine. Enough to care for 15–30 children when sickness strikes.

We buy from trusted Ghanaian pharmacies. It’s faster, safer, and stretches every dollar five times farther.
