TAPPING THE SOURCE
I was tired this morning. Not sleepy — mentally tired. The “give up,” shut down, become-a-vegetable kind of tired.
It lasted about 30 seconds before I remembered my training:
Am I trying to do this on my own?
Yes. I was.
I had slipped into relying on myself alone for energy, purpose, direction, and momentum. But I’m not alone.
A quick shift to right-minded thinking — and the energy returns. Power returns. Confidence returns. Real sourcing.
So what is right-minded thinking?
For me, it’s remembering that I am nothing without God — my eternal and limitless Source. Everything else is just the stage: the world, the challenges, the icing and sprinkles.
Without faith and trust in that Source, I lose perspective. But when I remember, I also remember who I am — loved, worthy, and inseparable from the Source that created me.
It’s not logical to be separate from perfection. Perfection cannot be divided. Everything else is appearance — a veil, an illusion.
And honestly, I’m relieved that it is so.
With that shift, the energy flows again. I feel connected, not alone. Gratitude rises from within, and a quiet sweetness hums through everything. Trust in the journey returns.
Knowing you are loved from your very essence melts away so much of the noise.
My path here was a process. Compassion, grace, and practice were all part of it.
It began with mindfulness and learning to observe.
Meditation became a living practice that continues to evolve — sometimes watching a candle flame, sometimes yoga, walking, breath, music, or stillness.
It’s not constant every minute of the day. It’s simply practicing whenever possible while living a full life.
If you’re not sure where to begin, that’s okay. We all start somewhere.
I write about these practices and ideas on my blog, and I share programs that can help you begin your own journey.
