Our own Cinderella Story

Anthony Community Care was founded in June of 2000. It had been owned by a large corporation and was slated to be closed. A group got together and started to work to keep the home open. It was purchased from the corporation by a loan from the City of Anthony. The home needed much work from years of poor maintenance. The community came together and roofed, painted and raised money for further repairs. Now, 9 years later, Anthony Community Care Center is a 501C3, not for profit, community home that everyone can be proud of. The loan has been paid off, the home is stable and fully staffed by community professionals that truly care about their elders.

The monsters are out and hungry for candy!! The candy donations go towards the residents passing out candy on Halloween to all the kids that stop by between 5-7 on Halloween!

Our time at the pool came to a close yesterday, as the season drew to a conclusion. We would like to thank the Anthony Pool, the lifeguards, and Christel Francis for the enjoyable experiences and laughter they brought. The residents had an absolute blast. We are already looking forward to next year! 😭

Managed to slip out onto the lake for a short fishing trip, and happily, the fish were biting. It was a lovely morning.
