MAJOR UPDATE!!!

Hello! Thank you all so much for joining and for continuing to support our page here. I have an update here for you all.

Since the bake sale back in February we haven't had much movement in our negotiations with Aspirus Langlade Hospital. We, Nurses and Healthcare workers have decided it is time to take the next step. Here is what you can do to help! Joins us at our informational picket and rally on JUNE 27TH, 2022. We will gather around 3:00pm at 625 Langlade Road, Antigo WI 54409 and PICKET at 3:30pm. We are continuing to ask for safe staffing ratios and fair wages. Unfortunately, since Aspirus has chosen to listen to their corporate executives instead of us, more nurses have resigned since February. We want our nurses to be taken care of here, so we can stay here and continue to provide excellent care for our local community. Please stand with us so we can win the CHANGE we NEED in our local healthcare and community.

Hey everyone! We wanted to take the time to thank you all again for showing us so much support. The amount of people that showed up to the bake sale and reached out was incredible… you are all incredible! As many of you know, we are still negotiating with Aspirus for a fair contract. The encouragement we have received from our community, local businesses and other hospital employees doesn’t go unnoticed from us, but unfortunately Aspirus doesn’t share the same sentiment. Their recent inaction at our latest negotiating meeting reflected that. We will not let another day of them telling us we don’t deserve more to stop us from fighting for what we believe is right. We deserve respect, safety, and fair compensation. We will continue on to do all we can to keep our local nurses and healthcare professionals here in our community and taking care of you with the quality care you all deserve. Thank you to the Langlade County community for supporting the healthcare workers at Aspirus Langlade Hospital with our bake sale to bring further awareness for our need for safe staffing and fair wages. The amount of people that came and donated or purchased items was amazing! We are all so thankful to hear from people that we are supported and we hope Aspirus can see that, too. We want to be the healthcare workers taking care of you all at Aspirus Langlade. We need to keep Community Hospitals alive and thriving so we can continue to take excellent care of you. ❤️

Members of the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals who are employees at Aspirus Langlade Hospital are having a Valentine's Day bake sale!

Your local healthcare workers need your HELP! Our union is currently negotiating a contract with Aspirus and fighting for fair wages and safe staffing. We are living and working in unprecedented times right now and we need better tools to safely and efficiently take care of our community.

Please help us by stopping by and purchasing some delicious treats! We will have a variety of baked goods to help you celebrate Valentine's Day.

Since Aspirus has been unwilling to compensate our members with what we feel they are worth, all proceeds will go directly to our members for their hard work and dedication they have provided to our community while working tirelessly on the front lines. Or, it will be set aside for a strike fund if we are unable to reach a reasonable agreement with Aspirus.
