Retreat
When I was in high school every year we would go on a retreat. Maybe because being a teenager was an important turning point in one’s life. During that time I really didn’t care. In my head it was an awesome field trip and no homework!
Let’s define what retreat means:
Retreat - to withdraw, retire, or draw back, especially for shelter or seclusion.
Perfect example of what the corona virus made us do - draw back and reflect on the past. Look back at where you were, what was your life style, what did you want to accomplish and what did you want to change. Now look at yourself now and ask. How big of a change happened?
Before Bob & I would have dinner at
5:30pm every day. As we got busier it became 8:30pm. Now with the “shelter in place” we’re back to 5:30pm. It’s pretty awesome.
I’ve been watching a lot of old shows. The 80’s really was the funniest times. Just look at the men’s basketball shorts and the women’s hair styles, hilarious. And life was pretty simple.
And look at what man has now. We all have cell phones, big TV’s, and AMAZON!!!
This virus maybe smart and tough but I say man is tougher and smarter. We will get through this and it will all pass.
Look at the COVID 19 as a reset button. Make changes and set new goals. Think of the people that helped you along the way and let them know.
